About Sonapani

The Sonapani range of products is a contemporary adaptation of traditional Indian accompaniments especially developed to appeal to the western palate. The flavours are fruit driven and spicy, offering a versatility not usually associated with pickles or chutneys. Of course they remain the perfect enhancement to any curry dish.

The village of Sonapani facing the Himalayan range of Nanda Devi has long been recognised for the quality of its spring water, in fact Sonapani is Hindi for golden water.

In this pure environment our pickles and chutneys are produced from only the best quality ingredients sourced from the Himalayan foothills region, according to HACCP food safety guidelines.

The Sonapani project assists the local community by paying fair prices to growers and creating employment opportunities in this remote area.

Our initial product range is featured here. We continue to develop new recipes and plan to expand the selection in 2008.
